Every quote we write comes down to the same three materials. Each has a personality — and picking the right one matters more than picking the prettiest sample. Here's how we explain the choice on site.
1. Block Paving
Small, thick, interlocking units that share loads across the surface — the workhorse of British driveways. Huge pattern and colour range, easy to lift and repair, and strong enough for daily car traffic. Downsides: joints need occasional re-sanding and weeds love neglected drives.
2. Natural Stone
Sandstone, limestone, slate and granite — each slab unique, colours that deepen with weather. Nothing else looks this good, and a well-laid stone patio outlives us all. It costs more per metre and needs a skilled layer, since every piece varies in thickness.

3. Concrete Paving
Large-format slabs and poured finishes for clean contemporary lines at the lowest cost per square metre. Modern concrete is consistent, frost-resistant and nearly maintenance-free — ideal for minimalist gardens and commercial forecourts.
